Amendment to the Conditions of Participation of the business points programme

   

  • From 1/3/2017, points can also be collected on certain routes with Alitalia (AZ) flight numbers that are operated by Alitalia aircraft and for which Alitalia documents (i.e. the ticket number begins with "055") are issued. This new feature has led to an amendment of the business points Conditions of Participation. The amendment concerns paragraph 6.3.1.

  

6.3.1. Flights

... Points can be collected on flights with airberlin (AB) or NIKI (HG) flight numbers that are operated with an aircraft belonging to the airberlin group or the respective partner airline and for which airberlin documents (i.e. ticket number begins with "745") are issued. In addition, points can be earned on flights with Etihad (EY) or Alitalia (AZ) flight numbers that are operated with an aircraft belonging to Etihad Airways, Alitalia or the respective partner airline and for which Etihad documents (i.e. ticket number begins with "607") or Alitalia documents (i.e. ticket number begins with "055") are issued. Explicitly excluded are flights with EY or AZ flight numbers operated by an airline which is not a partner airline in the business points programme. This excludes charter flights.   • In addition, the crediting of points is only possible for bookings after 1/3/2017 if the business points customer number is provided directly during booking via airberlin.com, etihad.com or through a global reservation system (e.g. Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, etc.). There is no option to have points credited retroactively. This amendment concerns paragraph 6.3.5.

  

6.3.5 Crediting procedure

Points are only accredited to your account when the customer number and PIN are entered into the fields provided for this purpose on airberlin.com, etihad.com or alitalia.com when booking flights in accordance with paragraph 6.3.1. When booking flights through a global reservation system (GDS), the customer number must be provided in the required format during ticketing. Detailed information in this respect is provided to participating companies with confirmation of registration, and can also be viewed at any time under www.businesspoints.airberlin.com.

Retroactive crediting of points is not possible. No points are credited on the basis of unused, refunded or expired vouchers and coupons.

Please note:

If, as managing director or appointed, authorised representative, you agree with the amendments, you are not required to take any further action. The new points collection table as well as the new Conditions of Participation are thus deemed to have been accepted by your company if you do not object to the amendments before 28/2/2017. If your company no longer wants to use airberlin business points under the amended conditions, please send your revocation to:
